Martin Shanahan is CEO of IDA Ireland and chair of its investment committee. The IDA is Ireland’s inward investment promotion agency responsible for the attraction and development of foreign investment in Ireland. Martin took up the position of CEO in 2014.
Previously, Martin was chief executive of Forfás, Ireland’s policy advisory board for enterprise, trade, science, technology and innovation; and held executive roles in Fáilte Ireland, the country’s tourism development authority.
He is an adjunct full professor at UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business and has been listed among the top public sector LGBT+ executives by Yahoo Finance.
