Managing partner and founder, Atlantic Bridge

Elaine Coughlan is a co-founder and managing partner of Atlantic Bridge, a global growth technology fund specialising in cross-border investing. She is also a co-founder of the China Ireland Growth Technology Fund, which is aimed at helping European companies scale in China. She has more than 25 years’ experience in scaling technology companies and successful realisations through IPOs and M&A.

Prior to Atlantic Bridge, Elaine was co-founder and director of GloNav, a GPS company that was acquired by NXP Semiconductors for $110 million in 2007. She served as CFO or VP of finance for three technology companies − Parthus, Iona Technologies and Smartforce – with IPOs that realised more than $5bn in value for investors.

Elaine is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and is a qualified chartered director. She was named as one of Europe’s Inspiring 50, one of Europe’s Top 100 Women in Technology, and was appointed by the Irish Government to the board of Enterprise Ireland.
